Sand and bags available for Pine County residents

As flood waters rise in Pine County, residents can help protect their property by filling bags of sand. According to the Pine County Sheriff's Office, sandbags and sand will be available at the Highway garages in Pine City, Sandstone and Willow River. The bags and sand will be available this afternoon through Friday evening.

Officials say residents should bring their own shovel. Youo will be responsible for filling and moving your bags. The Pine County Sheriff's office asks for volunteers to help.
